Johnny Cash newly found album 'Out Among The Stars' to drop March 25

Newly found and never released Johnny Cash album Out Among the Stars will drop on March 25, 2014.

Out Among the Stars was reportedly recorded with Billy Sherrill in 1980's, however was never released by Columbia. The album disappeared when Johnny Cash was dropped by the company.

According to AP statement, Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter Cash had a habit to keep everything including tapes. Johnny Cash' son John Carter Cash told AP, "They never threw anything away. They kept everything in their lives. They had an archive that had everything in it from the original audio tapes from 'The Johnny Cash Show' to random things like a camel saddle, a gift from the prince of Saudi Arabia."

The album contains 12 songs including two duets with June Carter Cash titled "Baby Ride Easy," and "Don't You Think It's Come Our Time."

John Carter Cash explained how a never-before released record was found, "When my parents passed away, it became necessary to go through this material. We found these recordings that were produced by Billy Sherrill in the early 1980s. They were beautiful."

 

One more duet on the album was recorded with Waylon Jennings and is called "I'm Moving On."
