Siva Kaneswaran of the British boy band The Wanted announced his engagement to his long time girlfriend Nareesha McCaffrey.

Siva and Nareesha dated six years prior to their romantic engagement. Siva tells HELLO! magazine that his girlfriend was preparing a surprises birthday party for him, however he turned it to an engagement party asking her to marry him.

Siva bought the ring months before the party and when he found out about the surprise party being prepared by Nareesha and her family, Siva thought it would be a perfect time to pop up the question.

During the party, Siva got down on his knee proposing with a three carat diamond ring. Siva had his diamond ring specially designed just for his wife to be.

Siva said for HELLO!, "I said to her I wanted a present I would always remember this year by... for you to be my wife." He continued, "It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn't even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise."

Now, the couple is dreaming about their wedding and plans for the future together.
