'Zoolander 2' Release Date, Cast News: Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson Walk Runway in Paris to Promote Sequel
Actors Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson announced the sequel to their hit movie 'Zoolander' in a rather stylish way during Paris Fashion Week. The two stars took to the Valentino runway reprising their roles as male models Derek and Hansel on Tuesday.
"The really, really, ridiculously good-looking pair displayed their best Blue Steel during the Valentino Fashion Show finale at Espace Ephemere Tuileries in Paris, France, and got some face time with Vogue editor Anna Wintour backstage," writes Variety.
Paramount Pictures has sent out a press release confirming the movie and its release date of February 12th, 2016.
The 2001 comedy grossed $60 million, and along with Stiller and Wilson, co-stars Penelope Cruz and Will Ferrell are both expected to reprise their roles in the sequel.
"For years, Ben Stiller has been talking about Zoolander 2, and of late we've known that Justin Theroux is directing the film, with a report saying the movie will shoot in Rome this spring. But this is the first time the studio has stood up to offer any details. That February 12, 2016 date is new, and given that the film is less than a year away, we expect we'll hear a lot more cast info soon," writes Slash Film.
