'Zoolander 2' New Cast News: 'Titanic' Star Billy Zane Tapped for Role, Ben Stiller Confirms

Fans are definitely hyped about the upcoming sequel to 'Zoolander' which premieres early next year. Not only because of the already announced stars who will be joining the cast but also because of the recent reveal on Ben Stiller's social media account announcing that Billy Zane of 'Titanic' fame has been tapped.

Stiller, who plays Zoolander in the film took to his Instagram account a short video-reveal for 'Titanic' star Zane who at first portrayed himself in a cameo role in the first film. Now it has been reported that Zane will have a big role in the sequel.

The hilarious video from Stiller's Instagram first showed the back of Hansel's character who is originally played by Owen Wilson. Stiller then asked, "Hey Hansel, wouldn't it be cool if Billy Zane was in Zoolander 2?" then the mysterious man in Hansel's character responded saying, "Yeah, that'd be great," the 49-year-old Titanic actor said as the camera zoomed on his face revealing that it wasn't Wilson but it was Zane. "Whoa," Stiller said as he responded to the big revelation.

Stiller previously used the same social media account when announcing other stars pegged with roles. It has been reported that Stiller was the co-writer for the script of the sequel with 'Tropic Thunder' star Justin Theroux.

Reportedly stars including Penélope Cruz, Stiller's on-screen son, Cyrus Arnold, Stiller's wife, Christine Taylor and 'Bridesmaids' star Kristen Wiig are all playing a major role in the film.

"Last year, we started looking at it again," Stiller told ComingSoon about the project in a previous interview, "and it seemed like the confluence of events of everybody wanting to do do it, and it got to a point where it actually came together. And it's exciting to finally be able to talk about it, too," he added.

'Zoolander 2' will be in theaters this February 12, 2016.
