Zayn Malik, 22-year-old ex-member of One Direction, and Perrie Edwards, 21, seem to have been growing even closer together in their relationship after Zayn decided to leave One Direction.

The couple, who is engaged, have been spending a lot of time together lately which leaves fans with just one question: when will they finally make it official?

Doniya Malik, 23 years of age, discussed the couple in a recent interview and gave some information about the couple's wedding plans.

In her interview with Now! Magazine, Doniya said that the Zayn and Perrie are not rushing towards marriage.

"I haven't actually had any wedding talks with them yet. I'd say there's a good couple of years left until that. We haven't really spoken about it."

This is both shocking and relieving for fans.

The couple has been engaged since August 2013, and although they have been seemingly adjoined at the hip since Zayn was accused of cheating shortly before he left the band, it is a good thing that they are not rushing to say their vows, especially since Zayn cited wanting to be a normal 22 year old as one of his reasons for leaving the band.

In April, Perrie's best friend, Cara Swan, posted some suspicious things to her social media accounts, which led to speculation that Perrie and Zayn had had a secret wedding ceremony.

Fans were happy to find out that Zayn was not officially off the market as yet, though surely when they are ready everyone will be happy for Zayn and Perry.
