Everyone, especially fans of the British boy band, One Direction, has been wondering lately whether Zayn Malik, a former member of the band, is planning to rejoin.

After fans noticed that there were changes on the band's website and Facebook page, they are excited, hoping that what they wish for will finally come true.

However, a source close to Malik says that he is confused about why people think that he would turn back to his former bandmates.

"Zayn is a little miffed that everyone believes he's going to end up back with 1D," said the source in a statement to Hollywood Life. "The speculation bothers him. He left the group because he couldn't handle the high- profile that came with the band in the end, and he wants to get away from all that."

The rumors of Malik possibly returning to the band were sparked by the band's website allegedly adding Malik's biography back to their page.

After that, the band's official Facebook page removed his announcement that he would be departing from the band.

Malik announced that he was quitting One Direction on March 25^th of this year, stating that he wanted "some private time out of the spotlight" after he walked out in the middle of the band's world tour.

However, it is possible that Malik may be suffering even more stress as he ventures into his solo career. Friends and family of the artist say that he is so desperate to show he can do it alone that he has been working extremely hard.
