Zac Efron New Movie News: Trailer for Upcoming 'We Are Your Friends' Movie Releases [VIDEO]

The trailer for the new Zac Efron movie, "We Are Your Friends' has been released by Warner Bros.

The trailer reveals that Efron plays a young, aspiring DJ, who dreams of making it big in the music industry as he dreams of becoming a major record producer. Efron's character will be mentored by an older DJ, played by Wes Bentley. The plot takes a twist when Efron's character falls for his mentor's girlfriend.

With Efron's character forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he is destined for, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Efron's voice over in the trailer explains, "It's the DJ's job to get the crowd out of their heads and into their bodies," he explains in the voice over while the trailer shows scenes of people at a poolside dance party. Although he starts by matching the crowd's heartbeat at 125 BPM, he says 128 BPM is the "magic number."

Previously speaking to People Magazine about her chemistry with Efron, Ratajkowski said, "We both like each other as human beings."

The movie is directed by Max Joseph and produced by Studiocanal and Working Title Films. The movie also stars Emily Ratajkowski, Vanessa Lengies, Jon Abrahams, Shiloh Fernandez Nicky Romero and Dillon Francis.

According to Deadline, this movie happens to be a directorial debut for director Joseph, who worked on a script he wrote with Meaghan Oppenheimer from a story by Richard Silverman.
