High School Musical star Zac Efron has had an epiphany after rehab with reports claiming that he said that he wants to have Vanessa Hudgens back in his life.

The 27-year-old actor allegedly said that Hudgens is "the one" and he regrets his bachelor partying lifestyle when they were together which was the reason for their break-up.

"Zac thought she was The One, but they were just too young," says an insider from Ok! Magazine.

The insider also said that Efron is still crazy about her and that he is willing to do anything to have her back, but, "Vanessa won't even speak to him."

Meanwhile, GossipCop refutes this allegation saying the OK! claims are "not true." The site also stated that their insider said Efron acknowledges that they have fond memories together, but "that was a while ago... things change."

GossipCop also strengthened their claim as they said OK! "is the same tabloid that wrongly claimed Efron wants a role in the 'Magic Mike' sequel."

Efron just got out of rehab for drugs and alcohol addiction, and said, "I was drinking a lot, way too much. It's never one specific thing. I mean, you're in your 20s, single, going through life in Hollywood, you know? Everything is thrown at you. I wouldn't take anything back; I needed to learn everything I did. But it was an interesting journey, to say the least," said Efron in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Efron and Hudgens met during the auditions of High School Musical. After the first movie, they began their off-screen relationship, and dated from 2006 to 2010.
