YouTube Features Jamie Grace With 'Daughter Of The King' On International Women's Day
On Thursday, as the world celebrated International Women's Day, Grammy-nominated and Dove-award winning artist Jamie Grace was featured by special request on YouTube with her "Daughter of the King" video, as the video streaming giant showcased women who empower other women.
Grace, who is also a singer/songwriter/speaker/actress and reality-star, was featured on YouTube's front page with the exclusive video release of "Daughter of the King" which was filmed at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles, Calif., produced and directed by Grace and her sister, Morgan Harper Nichols.
Speaking about how the video came about, Grace says, "I knew they liked the song, 'Daughter of the King,' so I invited some friends and fans to be a part of the collaboration. I asked them to finish the sentence 'My worth is not found in ____' or 'My worth is not defined by ____.'
"We had such an incredibly diverse group of women sharing their stories about self-esteem, family, race and so much more," the singer says, continuing, "Women shared in English, Armenian, Spanish and Shona (tribe in Zimbabwe) saying 'I am a daughter of the King' and what that means to them. It was truly an incredible experience. My sister Morgan Harper Nichols and I recently launched our production company, Harper Sisters Entertainment, and we're so honored to share this song and video."
