When the 'Young and the Restless' returns on CBS on Dec. 8 for the next season, fans will see Adam Newman confronting a Genoa resident much sooner than he had thought. The spoilers for the next episode of the series released by CBS suggest that Nick Newman remains trapped in the woods with one of his legs locked in a bear trap and may die if no one rescues him soon.

While there were rumors that Nick's daughter Summer would come to his rescue, but it was a mere hallucination stemming from Nick's pain and drinking.

Quoting the official synopsis of the upcoming episode, the Celebrity Laundry says that someone unknown will discover Nick lying in the woods. However, it is not sure whether that person will rescue him or not.

Meanwhile, CBS Soaps In Depth reveals that Sage, Adam Newman's hench-woman, will take her dog Constance for a walk and discover Nick just on the verge of unconsciousness in the woods. She goes back to her cabin and brings Adam to help her save the life of the stranger. Surprisingly for Adam, he finds the stranger to be his own brother.

The spoilers for 'Young and the Restless' also tease that Adam tells Sage he will not be able to come to Nick's help, and leaves them lying in the woods. In fact, Adam doesn't want anyone from Genoa City to see his new face. Besides, he is worried that Nick may possibly recognize him, since they are brothers after all.

This is an indication that the next episode of the 'Young and the Restless' will spend much time on how Nick is rescued. It now remains to be seen whether Adam Newman, who is considered to be a cold-hearted villain by all, will be kind and help his brother.
