'Young and The Restless' star Corey Sligh has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving as he is now recovering from an unfortunate attack which led to multiple injuries including a broken arm.

The CBS actor is reported to be recovering at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he is currently confined. "Hey kids, went to feed some people last night who don't have blessed thanksgivings and along the way got struck by a drunk driver!" Sligh updated his fans with his recent post on Instagram.

"Have a surgery to go and another couple days in the hospital but should be fine soon! Thankful to still be on this great planet! Love y'all!" he captioned in his latest photograph in the hospital.

It has been reported that the Los Angeles Police District already arrested the two men that allegedly attacked the actor Thanksgiving night. One of the suspects according to reports has already been charged with felony assault.

It was supposed to be a night of doing good deeds for the actor and model when he was delivering a turkey meal for a friend working for his night shift at the Rite Aid in West Hollywood, California when he had an argument with the two men in the parking lot.

"They almost hit people in the parking lot," Alisa Berhorst, Sligh's girlfriend narrated the incident to KCAL9 reporter Laurie Perez. "They were hitting curbs and Corey said please slow down or we're going to call the cops."

"The guy walked up to him like I'm in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it's going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away," Berhorst further added.

After the heated argument, the two men reportedly hit Sligh with their car, stepped out of the vehicle and began beating him. Not only that, the alleged attackers ran from the scene then crashed their car so the police were able to get a hold of them.
