Xiaomi New Device News: Tech Titan Reportedly Developing its Own Windows 10 Tablet

Microsoft has started rolling out its latest universal operating system, Windows 10, since Wednesday last. Now, a latest report hints that the Chinese tech titan Xiaomi may be working on a Windows 10-powered tablet. Since the speculation has come from the Chinese tech analyst Pan Jiutang, it cannot be accepted as confirmed news.

According to a recent report in Tech Radar, as it is not certain if the Chinese tech giant is actually pursuing developing a Windows 10 device, it is not possible to say right now whether the purported device will run on Windows 10 Mobile or the full version of Windows 10, which has been specially built for PCs.

However, when a manufacturer chooses to use a display higher than 8 inches, it suggests that they can employ the full version of Windows 10. Hence, it is very likely that if Xiaomi plans to develop its own Windows 10-based tablet, it will be running on the full blown version of the operating system.

The report further states that Xiaomi has more often than not focused on Android devices, therefore a changeover to Windows 10 seems logical for the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The recently launched Windows 10 OS introduces innumerable features, majority of which are perfectly suited for the everyday user. Hence, Xiaomi fans would be hoping that this tablet materializes.

However, all that have been discussed above may eventually turn out to be mere speculations. Hence, readers should not get their hopes up just yet. Despite the fact that currently Xiaomi's presence is mostly restricted to the Asian markets, especially China and India, the company is quickly turning into a major player in the mobile industry.

With Xiaomi expected to arrive in North American markets soon, it can be expected that the Chinese tech giant will be launching more products that are suited for the market.
