Xiaomi MIUI 7 News, Rumors: Chinese Tech Giant Ready to Launch Update With Mi 5

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi which equips its devices with its home made firmware MIUI is said to be currently working of the next version of the software dubbed as MIUI 7. Based on free software Android operating system, MIUI 7 will be focused on automatic personalization optimization.

Gizbot reports that the Chinese company has announced that it will soon unveil its upcoming smartphone Mi 5 along with the MIUI 7 operating system, based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. According to the Xiaomi news blog, "Android ROM developers like Cyanogen and ParanoidAndroid have been collaborating with hardware manufacturers to assist these smartphone manufacturers distinguish themselves in a crowded as well as competitive marketplace."

On Thursday last, Team Kang at AOKP stated that it would be working with Xiaomi when the latter commences work on MIUI 7. It is expected that the company will release the Mi 5 on June 26 and the MIUI 7, which will be based on the Android 5.1, will debut alongside. Internally, the UI is known as MiKangy and is likely to merge the entire the features available with Cyanogen, PA, Omni and AOKP.

A recent post on the Team Kang website, MIUI 7 will enable the users to "create an experience which completely submerges the user in his/ her world." Meanwhile, the AOKP Blog states, "MIUI 7, (which has internally been code named MiKangy, and which should not be mistaken for MiKandi), is an entire new take on the Android UX."

In fact, the aim is to combine all vital features from the top ROMs such as CM, PA, Omni and AOKP and create an experience which immerses the user in his/ her own world completely. The UI will advance with the user, and therefore following a few months' usage, the UI of each Mi 5 phone will be different - personalized according to the temperament of its individual user."
