Xiaomi Mi Note Plus News, Rumors: Specs and Features Similar to Mi Note Pro?

Having achieved the position of number one smartphone manufacturer in China; Xiaomi is now turning its focus on new line of devices. The company unveiled its latest phablet smartphones - the Mi Note and the Mi Mote Pro recently.

Christian Today reports that the latest devices unveiled by Chinese tech manufacturer are comparable to Apple's latest flagship phablet smartphone iPhone 6 Plus as well as Samsung's Galaxy Note and the Note Edge. This is an indication of the fact that Xiaomi is gradually emerging as a tough competitor to major smartphone manufacturers like Apple Inc., Samsung, Sony and LG Electronics.

Meanwhile, another Xiaomi device dubbed Xiaomi Mi Note Plus was seen in the benchmark website AnTuTu, hinting that the company is currently working on yet another handset whose specs are akin to that of the Mi Note Pro.

It has been revealed that Xiaomi Mi Note Plus will sport a quad HD display rendering 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, in addition to an Adreno 430 GPU. The device is also likely to boast a 13-megapixel cam and run on Google's latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Nevertheless, the screen size of the device has been kept a closely guarded secret and, hence, it could not be ascertained as to which category of handsets it will come under.

While some have been speculating that the device is a new tablet from Xiaomi, there are others who say that that it is somewhat unusual for tablets to come in 16:9 aspect ratios.

Some time back, Xiaomi surprised tech experts and enthusiasts alike when the company announced the Xiaomi Mi Note smartphone-tablet hybrid measuring just 6.95 mm. In fact, this aspect of the smartphone makes it one of the thinnest available currently - much thinner compared to the iPhone 6 Plus. The Xiaomi Mi Note only weighs 161 grams, which is also makes it lighter compared to the iPhones and Galaxy Notes.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi's sales soared by 135 percent and the company created history when it recorded $11.97 billion worth of sales in 2014, becoming the top smartphone manufacturer in China. At the same time, Xiaomi now ranks fourth in the field of global mobile manufacturing. Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun claimed that his company sold 61 million smartphones in 2014 - a rise of 227 percent jump from 2013.
