Xiaomi Mi 5 And Mi 5 Plus Release Date, Price: Powered By Snapdragon Chipset, 4GB RAM, Set For Q1 Release?
Along with their other specifications, Xiaomi's upcoming Mi 5 and Mi 5 plus are rumored to run a Snapdragon chipset and a larger random access memory.
According to Latin Post, both Xiami's Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 4GB of RAM. As per the publication, the Mi 5 will be available in 16GB and 64GB internal memory variants while the Mi 5 Plus is set to have only the 64GB variant. The devices will not have memory expansion support, as they both have large internal memory options.
When it comes to the screen size, the Mi 5 features a small body and a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels while its larger counterpart, the Mi 5 Plus, will feature a 5.7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels. Also, the Mi 5 Plus is set to have the Corning Gorilla Glass 4, as per GSM Arena.
Xiaomi's Mi 5 will have the dimensions of 144.6 by 69. 2 by 7.3 mm and the weight of 129g/139g (4.90oz). On the other hand, the Mi 5 Plus comes with the dimensions of 155.1 by 77.6 by 7 mm (6.11 by 3.06 by 0.28 in), along with a weight of 160g (5.64oz)
Both devices are set to feature an 8-megapixel front camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera, along with a dual-LED flash for improved imagery in both bright and low light environments. For the price, the Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus are priced at $499.99 and $599.99, respectively.
Xiaomi's Mi 5 is expected to be released in March while the Mi 5 Plus is assumed to be announced in the first quarter of the year.
