Xiaomi Mi 4c Update News: New Leak via TENAA and AnTuTu Reveals Key Specifications
If a recent leak from the Chinese benchmark AnTuTu is any indication, Xiaomi may be planning to launch an inexpensive variant of Mi 4, the handset the company released in 2014.
IB Times reports that the device spotted on AnTuTu suggests the new model, dubbed as Mi 4c, would be the first smartphone from the Chinese tech company to use the Snapdragon 808 chip along with a hexa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, coupled with a 418 graphics unit.
The purported upcoming smartphone will come with a 5-inch screen with full HD display featuring resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will run on the new MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop version 5.1.1, sport 2 GB RAM and have 16 GB internal storage capacity. On the camera front, the device is expected to sport a 13-megapixel primary rear shooter alongside a 5-megapixel snapped at the front.
In fact, the new model Xiaomi smartphone has also been spotted in the Chinese telecommunications equipment certification center TENAA database.
Nearly all the hardware features of Xiaomi Mi 4c listed on TENAA are same as those of AnTuTu. However, TENAA offers some additional details regarding the smartphone including measurement of the device. The Xiaomi Mi 4c measures 138.1 x 69.9 x 7.8 mm and weighs 130.35 gm. The smartphone is expected to be available in many color options, including white, black, red, orange, yellow and green.
The upcoming Xiaomi phone will support 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, and come with port for Micro USB connectivity.
PhoneArena reports that the device is likely to be priced in such a way that it will be able to compete with rival budget smartphone models available in the market.
