Xiaomi Gaming Project News, Rumors: Chinese Tech Manufacturer to Launch New Gaming Console?
Chinese tech manufacturer Xiaomi has recently released a teaser regarding a product launch on Jan. 21. GizChina says that since the teaser was released by the gaming division of Xiaomi, speculations are high that the company may release a product related to gaming. Interestingly, on its top left, the teaser poster presents the picture of a console gaming control in red against a black background.
The report further says that when the teaser is watched closely, the image gives the impression that the product may possibly be a gamging console, which will possibly be launched to compete with the existing gaming products like Microsoft's Xbox, Sony's PlayStation and Nintendo. The teaser also suggests that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch this gaming product in all markets of the world, including the United States and Europe.
Recently, Xiaomi has released two new flagship smartphones - the Xiaomi Mi Note and Xiaomi Note Pro in China.
At present, Xiaomi has been marketing its products only in some Asian nations, including the large markets in China and India. Apart from China, it is very choosy about the release of its products. According to the report in Christian Today, Xiaomi currently markets only Redmi 1s and Redmi Note 4G, in addition to some accessories like MI earphones and a few powerbank devices in India. Now, the company may launch its MI 4 smartphone in India soon.
Smartphones manufactured by Xiaomi, such as the MI Note Pro smartphone comes with a 2560x1440 pixel 5.7-inch QHD display rendering 515ppi of pixel density. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 810 SoC and supports 4G-LTE Cat9 network connection enabling users to download at a maximum speed of 450 mbps. It also comes with a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and is expected to be priced at around $532.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi MI Note comes with a dual 4G SIM connectivity having a 5.7-inch full HD Retina screen resolution of 1920x1080 rendering pixel density of 386 ppi. The device boasts 13.0-megapixel Sony camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), f/2.0 aperture camera feature, 6 physical lenses, in addition to a 4.0-megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 3000 mAh LG battery. The MI Note will be launched in two versions - 16GB and 64GB models costing around $371 and around $451.
