Xbox Project Scorpio News & Update: Microsoft Not Worried About PS4 Pro Launch?
The PlayStation 4 Pro will be launched on Nov. 10 although its specs and capabilities are all over the news. That's not something that can be said about Xbox Project Scorpio, however.
Apart from the fact that the Microsoft console will be able to rival computes of today in terms of frames per second, there's not much detail among mainstream news outlets when it comes to the Xbox Project Scorpio.
Now, with PS4 Neo's impending release, is Microsoft worried about the sales of its latest console being stunted?
In an interview with Polygon, Xbox director Albert Penello is not at all worried about what PS4 Pro has to offer compared to their own console.
"I feel pretty good about the decisions we've made," he said.
"I feel good about what we've done with the Xbox One S," Penello added. "Both we and Sony are investing in 4K as the future of the console space, and we have a history of adding features to our hardware."
One example of the difference between the Xbox Project Scorpio and the PlayStation 4 Pro is the possibility that Microsoft's console won't support 4K Blu-ray movies, though this has yet to be confirmed.
Another difference is computing power. Whereas, the PS4 Pro boasts 4.20 teraflops, news articles previously confirmed the 6 teraflops of processing power in the Xbox Project Scorpio, PocketLint reports.
In terms of VR capability, it seems that Project Scorpio is better off in that regard as Sony is more focused on tech design for its PSVR while Microsoft partnered with Bethesda for high-rest virtual reality gaming.
