Xbox Project Scorpio News: Developers Make Ready To Piggyback On 4K Games

News reports have been filtering about Xbox Project Scorpio be able to offer 6 teraflops, which is comparable to powerful video graphics of PCs today. That will accommodate 4K games seamlessly.

Now, an executive of games developer The Coalition said that they are anticipating the release of the new console by prepping up "Gears of War 4" in all its 4K glory.

"Gears of War 4 will be the first Gears game on Unreal Engine 4 and is the technical foundation for a new generation of Gears games," Mike Rayner, technical director for The Coalition, said.

He said that their collaboration with Microsoft allow sthem to "push the engine to new heights" and deliver new titles that will maximize the experience for gamers and showcasing the capability of Xbox One.

Microsoft first shared the news about Xbox Project Scorpio during the E3 event in June this year.

According to Phil Spencer, Xbox head, their next console will be able to output games instead of only videos as what Xbox One S is designed to do.

"It is ultimately the next step in delivering our vision of gaming beyond generations. When it ships next year we believe it'll be the most powerful console ever built," he said.

The news about Xbox Project Scorpio featuring 6 teraflops of graphical capability should not be sneeze at.

According to Tech Radar, that kind of performance is about five times more powerful compared to the current Xbox One technology. Of course, it's not comparable to the latest generation of video graphics in PC but that kind of power will allow developers to bring their game to another level.
