Xbox One vs PS4 2015 News: Microsoft Hopeful of Surpassing Sony with 'Exclusive' Gaming Content

Latest reports suggest that Sony's PlayStation 4 sales are more than double that of Microsoft's Xbox One globally. However, undeterred by depressing sale results, Microsoft is determined to launch an all-out offensive in November, as it is set to introduce exclusive gaming contents for the Xbox One. The Redmond, Washington-headquartered tech titan is expecting that this will tilt the balance in favor of its console by the end of the year.

According to Latin Post, although PlayStation 4 has topped the Xbox One in sales for the better part of this year, Microsoft's continuous effort in bringing in new updates and features have gradually gained impressed fans. The latest generation Xbox displayed that it was competent to go number one, as it topped the PlayStation 4 in April. As expected, the slight flicker of victory was all that it took for Microsoft to raise the stakes further.

Microsoft corporate vice-president Kudo Tsunoda told Games Industry that the company needs to perk up on their achievement by developing unmatched gaming contents constantly. He also claimed that the Xbox One is already "doing things that can't be done on any other console."

Tsunoda was talking about Microsoft's impressive booty of exclusive games that Sony's apparently highly praised hardware cannot match. Microsoft is now perked up following heir successful presentations at E3 and Gamescom. Many were of the view that the company had a more notable showing than their Japanese rivals.

Now, Tsunoda and his team are set to launch seven new titles exclusive to Xbox One this November.

Tsunoda said, "There's a reason we're able to put on two shows of content together. We've got seven exclusives coming this holiday, and then everything coming in 2016. Not just the blockbusters, but the ID@Xbox games, the indie games. We're giving people a lot more."

According to the Microsoft executive, currently they are working on a system in which PC and console players will be able to play against one another. In fact, Microsoft has studied PC-streaming of console games.

"For a long time we've had PC gamers and console gamers who weren't really able to play together. That's why Cross-Play is still such a powerful idea. You should be able to play what you love, and play together, regardless of what device you're playing on. It's about connecting people, Tsunoda observed.

Among the things that Xbox fans can expect from Microsoft's showcase later this year includes Xbox One's backwards compatibility feature. The company mentioned about it at E3 2015 and has already released a string of older games that are now playable on the Xbox One.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is set to release the entire list of backwards compatible games this November and it is rumored to include 100 titles.
