Xbox One Update News: Microsoft Xbox Claims It Offers Things That No Other Gaming Console Does

During a recent interview with GameSpot, Xbox executive Kudo Tsunoda revealed that lots of things were happening with Xbox One - something that no other console has done yet. Tsunodo also discussed about a few Xbox One features, which are not available in other gaming consoles.

Citing examples, Latin Post reports that the backward compatibility of Xbox One has allowed its users to put together selected games from Xbox 360. In addition, users also do not requite putting their entire Xbox 360 games to waste owing to the backwards compatibility feature. At the same time, the cross-buy and cross-play attributes enable Xbox players to buy in-game downloadables, permitting them to cross-play between Xbox One and PC.

According to the report, the cross-play feature has allowed gamers to play with each other irrespective of the type of gaming platform they are in. In fact, Microsoft has bridged the space between those who wish to compete with each other.

Gamesindustry.biz quotes Tsunoda saying, "For a long time we've had PC gamers and console gamers who weren't really able to play together." He adds, "That's why Cross-Play is still such a powerful idea. You should be able to play what you love, and play together, regardless of what device you're playing on. It's about connecting people."

Meanwhile, Attack of the Fan Boy reports that what actually makes Xbox One different from the other gaming consoles is that players can play on any type of device according to their choice. Having said that, the backwards compatibility continues to be the greatest feature of Xbox and it is unavailable on Sony's PlayStation 4.

According to Tsunoda, Xbox has a lot more to offer in terms of exclusive games, and that's something none have not been able to compete with.

In fact, with Xbox partnering with PC games, the cross-buy between the two companies only offered marginalized DLC and in-games. The exclusive games mentioned by Tsunoda such as 'Fable Legends,' 'Rise of the Tomb Raider,' 'Forza Motor Sport 6,' 'Halo 5: Guardians' and the 'Gears of War: Ultimate Edition,' will be available this year itself.

Meanwhile, a report in GameSpot states that Sony has acknowledged that compared to Xbox, their PlayStation-exclusive game lineup has been very limited.

Sony's Andrew House said that currently, they may need to depend on third-party games until such time when they can provide ample first-party lineup for their fans. As far as Sony is concerned, they already have delayed release of important first-party games like the 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' and 'Ratchet and Clank.'
