Xbox One Summer Update 2016 Release Date: Cortana Now On Xbox One; Background Music Will Be Available

Xbox One and the Xbox app have already started their latest system updates. According to Xbox's official news website, Cortana will now be on Xbox One, Background Music will now be available through a variety of Music apps such as Pandora. They are also working on combining the best of the Windows Store and also the Xbox Store to provide more convenience to their users and buyers.

In addition, the updates will also be available on the Xbox One S once the 2TB launch edition is released on August 2nd. It was reported that it will be available for the price of $399. The 1TB and 500GB Xbox One S models will also have that update within the month and prices will start at $299.

The highlights of the Xbox One and the Xbox app features includes the Background Music (For the Xbox One) which lets you listen to some music while playing your favorite video game at the same time; Cortana, which is a voice command system for the Xbox; an updated Game Collection interface and more language options, only to name a few.

For the PC, it would enable gamers to record game clips with a stunning 60 frames per second from the Game Bar (Windows + G). This will become available when the Windows 10 Anniversary Update becomes available. As for the games, the top Windows 10 PC games such as the "League of Legends" and "XCOM 2" will now be available on Xbox Live.

Also, according to Windows Central, an update, entitled "rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160729-1700" will be rolling out soon and it was currently reported that the fixes that the update has to offer includes a resolved issue in Skyrock app where previously the app was reported to be unusable after updating.

There are a lot of incredible updates that are available this time and it doesn't end with those for this year. There's still one more major update that is scheduled to come out this year.
