Xbox One Slim Rumors Update: Microsoft To Unveil Two New Versions Of Gaming Console?
In an era dominated by the evolution of slimmer and sleeker devices, it is rumored that Xbox One is also set to get a Slim version, in addition to a Revised version.
The Xbox One Slim is viewed as a potential successor of the gaming console, as indicated by the recent Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Tech Radar reports.
The aforementioned version of the iconic gaming console could be linked to FFC's filing that Microsoft is shifting its gears towards revising the Xbox One. According to Game Rant, an FCC filing revealed that the company is planning on revealing an updated version of the Xbox One at the E3 event. However, the exact details on the kind of revision the company is planning remains unclear, the website writes.
The rumor was ignited by NeoGAF user "Ekim," who detailed the probabilities that there is a significant link between the FCC filings and the discovery of a potential Xbox One announcement at the E3. Ekim is positive that Microsoft will be unveiling an updated Xbox One at the event, which lead fans to wait for the upcoming convention.
According to Ekim's research, the FCC controls any console that features data transmission and this covers any device that has connection to the internet. For the time being, the FCC has a filing which is intended for the wireless chip of the Xbox One. As per the rumors, this chip can be verified by Xbox One owners by checking the number #1525 underneath their consoles.
Apart from Ekim's observations, some also believe that Microsoft is developing two separate versions of the Xbox One, which means that one is the Slim version and the other is the Revised version.
The Xbox One slim is rumored to be launched in the summer of 2016.
