Xbox One Dominos Pizza App Release Date in UK: Order From Console- Official Twitter Post Confirms Release

Putting all the speculation and rumors to rest, Microsoft has officially launched an app on Xbox One consoles that allows the gamer to order a pizza for delivery at the drop of a hat. According to Xbox UK's official Twitter account, the app is now available for download.

Stepping back onto previous reports, The Sunday Times reported that the Kinect-powered application would require users to simply shout out a command in order to trigger the program.

The report went on to say that gamers would have to shout out, "Domino's feed me!" and the pizza ordering application would open and allow the hungry gamer the chance to choose the crust and toppings.

Stepping back even more, this new app resembles the Pizza Hut app that launched last year on the Xbox 360. Gamers were able to order a pizza on their consoles using voice commands and hand gestures.

However, even those working for Microsoft were a tad skeptical about the utility of an app like this. Apparently, Xbox representative Larry Hryb said the using the app is easier than the controller, but it would probably be easier to use a phone or a tablet, instead of waving your hands around trying to order a pizza.

Moving forward, it seems that ordering a pizza from your gaming consoles has not yet tanked in terms of an idea as Xbox UK has just confirmed the release of such an app.

As it stands, it's not yet known whether or not this app will be a success or a major flop, but some Xbox One users are a touch excited about it already.
