Xbox One 2015 News: Microsoft Reveals Several Exciting Games Ahead of Gamescom 2015

During a press briefing ahead of Gamescom 2015, Microsoft Corp. offered the fans a glimpse of what its gaming entertainment department has in store for them.  The company held a press briefing in Cologne, Germany, last week to announce the release of several games as well as make gameplay screenings, together with unveiling a few console accessories for better gaming experience.

A report in Christian Today said that following Xbox chief Phil Spencer's announcement that video game compilation 'Rare Replay' has been launched, he moved on to the unveiling of several biggest titles that are coming to Xbox One.

It began with the demo for Remedy Entertainment's 'Quantum Break,' which displayed an action-packed gameplay coupled with a live-action digital series featuring actor Shawn Ashmore, who also appeared on stage to discuss the game and its digital series companion. This was followed by Remedy Entertainments creative director Sam Lake revealing that the ambitious third-person shooter game will be released on April 5, 2016.

Microsoft also presented the gameplay of 'Crackdown 3' and the demo demonstrated the multiplayer action of the upcoming game, which is scheduled to begin in summer 2016. The trailer further stated that using Microsoft's cloud could help provide "20 times more computational power" rather than just using the Xbox One.

Another upcoming title, exclusive for Xbox One, PlatinumGames' upcoming action-adventure game 'Scalebound' was also showcased. The gameplay demo of 'Scalebound' showed the main character named Drew fighting with an armada of armed soldiers with assistance from his dragon.

In addition to the upcoming games, Microsoft also divulged that Xbox One could soon become a TV DVR, which was a part of the company's plans to make the game console a one-stop entertainment device. In other words, those having free-to-air digital tuners in the U.S. and European countries will be able to record different programs for streaming to any device running Windows 10 from 2016 beginning.

During the Xbox Briefing, Microsoft also announced the release of the latest Halo 5-themed Xbox One console in addition to Backwards Compatibility for all the upcoming Games with Gold titles.
