Xbox Live Free Games with Gold for April 2016 Predictions: Microsoft Promises Blockbusters

Xbox Live with Gold subscribers have been waiting with bated breath for Microsoft to release new and popular games, instead of unheard-of-titles or indie games.

And it seems Microsoft must have heard their demands.

The tech giant in a tweet teased that there are Xbox Games with Gold titles lined up for April after announcing the release of "Borderlines," "Lords of the Fallen," and "Crimes & Punishment: Sherlock Holmes" for March.

The other title released in March is "Supreme Commander 2."

Attack of the Fanboy commented that Microsoft's tweet seems to fuel rumors and predictions about "AAA" games being offered for free to Xbox Live with Gold.

"In the past, both Sony's PS Plus Instant Game Collection and Microsoft's Xbox Live Games with Gold programs have given away major AAA titles," it said. "However, PS Plus has sort of held the edge in this department, which we have noted in our now monthly versus articles."

With Xbox lagging behind PlayStation in terms of the quality of games being released to its subscribers, the blockbuster titles promised by Microsoft in April will "get the competition with PS Plus heated up."

Meanwhile, a Reddit thread also discussed rumors and predictions for Xbox Live with Gold games.

Among the popular games suggested by Reddit users are "Titanfall," "Ryse: Son of Rome," "Zoo Tycoon," "Battlefield 4," "Need for Speed: Rivals," "Dead Rising 3," and "Forza 5."

But the lack of confirmation from Microsoft means that their release on Xbox Live with Gold can be chalked up to mere rumors and predictions, or more accurately, fans' pipe dreams.
