Xbox Games with Gold List January 2015 Release Date: Xbox One, Xbox 360 Titles - 'D4', 'MX vs. ATV Alive', 'Witcher 2'
Microsoft has finally released some of games that will available for free download for the month of January to all Xbox Games with Gold subscribers. Players with a membership will be able to keep the games permanently on their Xbox 360 or Xbox One consoles.
For the Xbox One platform, Xbox Live Gold members can download 'Dark Dreams Don't Die' for free during the month of January. The game normally costs $14.99 ERP, and is also known as D4 for short.
Xbox gamers who are unfamiliar with this title will want to know that it has somewhat of an in-depth storyline. The game revolves around one main character named David Young.
The protagonist is a private investigator whose wife has been murdered, so evidently he seeks for solace from his grief. However, while he cannot remember the events that surround her death, he can travel to time in an attempt to undo the murder.
Next on the list is an Xbox 360 title, available starting Thursday, January 1, called 'MX vs. ATV Alive'. This game can be purchased for $19.99, but can be downloaded free for Xbox Live Gold members until January 15.
For those that may not know, 'MX vs. ATV Alive' is an off-road racing game developed by Rainbow Studios. The game was released on May 10, 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a new pricing model behind it.
It was the first THQ game intended to be sold at a lower retail price than most new releases, at $39.99 in the U.S, but with include a lot of pay for DLC.
Last but not least, Xbox Live Gold Members, on January 16 can download 'The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings' for their Xbox 360 systems. The game normally runs at $29.99, but will be for free through January 31 for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
Even though 'The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings' contains many different paths, storylines, and multiple endings, the gamer still controls the first game's Geralt of Rivia character.
Players unfamiliar with the franchise should know that the gamer controls Witchers who are humans that have been genetically enhanced and trained to fight monsters. Their special powers are Witcher specific, as some use alchemy, magic, sword handling, or a combination to quest through the storyline.
