'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Spoilers: Matthew Vaughn's Different Approach For Quicksilver

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Quicksilver helping Magneto escape from the Pentagon would be a lot different if Matthew Vaughn was directing the film.

The writer of the film, Simon Kinberg, revealed in panel at the San Diego Comic-Con that in the first draft of the script, a younger version of Juggernaut (who first appeared in X-Men: First Class) was to aid in Magneto's effort rather than Quicksilver.

Vaughn, a director of past X-men films, was going to help with the production but instead dropped out to direct Kingsman: The Secret Service, according to Comicbook.

Vaughn told Empire Magazine in a podcast the way he wanted to scene to play out, "I had Juggernaut being thrown out of a plane at 20,000 feet and using his head to go down a hole to get to the bottom of [The White House]...I had Beast saying, 'I have a plan,' and him replying, 'What's the plan? What's the plan?', and they go higher and higher and Beast was going to go, 'This is it!' and chuck him out the window. Then he goes smashing through [The White House] with his and Magneto goes, 'Who the f**k are you?'"

Kinberg also said, according to Cinema Blend, that Wolverine was also to be a part of the escape as he would have followed Juggernaut out the plane, breaking every bone in his body but his healing factor takes into account so he could still help out in Magneto's jailbreak.

Despite the good idea, Vaughn told reporters that Singer's Quicksilver scene was "the best scene in the movie." According to MTV Vaughn said, "It would have made the movie worse. The Quicksilver one was better."
