'X-Men: Apocalypse' Spoilers, News: Director Bryan Singer Posts New Concept Art Photo on Instagram
Director Bryan Singer has apparently not been shy with revealing small details about his upcoming 'X-Men: Apocalypse' film.
In a new Instagram post, Singer released a new concept art photo with what appears to be the character Angel caged in an iron chamber, while he is being watched by an audience as if in some twisted freak show.
The character's inclusion in the film is a big nod to the comics, as Angel becomes one of Apocalypse's Horsemen at one point in time. He eventually becomes an evil mutant with formidable powers and is then renamed Archangel, however it is unclear how close the film will stay to its origins.
"Ben Foster played Angel in Brett Ratner's X-Men: The Last Stand, and we seriously doubt he'll be returning since they're recasting most of the main characters in this movie and aiming for younger people like Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. Earlier rumors pegged British actor Ben Hardy as playing Angel in this film, though that still remains unconfirmed at this time," writes Geek Tyrant.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' drops into theaters May 27th, 2016.
