‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Rumors: Speculation that Taylor Swift May Have Been Cast in New X-Men
Fans first got to see Taylor Swift's fight skills in her music video for "Bad Blood," but she may be taking those skills straight to the big screen.
On July 8th, the producer of 'X-Men: Apocalypse', Simon Kinberg hinted that Swift may be taking on a role in the new film. Swift has starred in several movies so far, including Valentine's Day and The Giver.
Kinberg tweeted a photograph in which the singer is posing next to him along with two stars in the movie, Sophie Turner and James McAvoy.
Kinberg captioned it with the phrase, "Haters gonna hate," one of Swift's most famous lyrics. This can mean many things of course.
For instance, it can just be an indication that Swift is a really big fan of the 'X-Men' franchise. Or, it could mean that the stars and producer of the film are big fans of Swift and wanted to get a photograph together.
Even so, fans of the film are losing their heads over speculation that she may have been cast as Dazzler.
One fan tweeted, "I would totally be down for Taylor Swift playing Dazzler in an upcoming X-men movie."
"Just putting that out there." Another fan tweeted, "DAZZLER IS A MUTANT WHO IS A POP STAR. IT'S SO... SIMPLE."
Swift's representative has yet to comment on these speculations, but while fans await a response, the will continue to daydream in the hopes that their theory proves true.
Perhaps they can set their sights on something a little bit more feasible such as Swift recording some original tracks for the 'X-Men: Apocalypse' soundtrack.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' will be in theaters on May 27, 2016.
