'X-Men: Apocalypse' News: Evan Peters Promises Bigger and Better Quicksilver Scenes

Fans of the 'X-Men' movie franchise thoroughly expressed their enjoyment with Evan Peters' portrayal of the Quicksilver character in 'Days of Future Past,' most notably his infamous slow motion scene, however his cameo was rather short lived.

In a recent interview with MTV, the actor expresses his similar sentiments on the scene, and assures fans that he will have a more prominent role in the upcoming 'Apocalypse' film.

"Well, yeah, it's always difficult to try to top something like that," Peters told MTV News. "The special effects guys, man, they absolutely nailed that and did a fantastic job on it."

"This year we're working on something that's bigger and better, keeping the same elements that worked, then adding a few new ones," he continues. "I'm really excited to see it all cut together, and I'm excited for people to see it, too. I think it's going to be a really fun sequence in what is going to be a massive X-Men movie. The scope of it - with the end of the world and Apocalypse coming - is going to be a very large, epic 'X-Men' film."

Director Simon Kinberg recently stated in an interview with IGN that this was his plan for the character all along.

"The plan was to use him in the next X-Men movie and have him expand his part and grow into the franchise" explained Kinberg. "That was the thought. But now people have seen the movie and he's one of the most beloved things in the film universally, there's no question that he's going to be a big part of the next movie."

'Apocalypse' plans to premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016.
