While fans can expect to see many new characters in 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' several others may by leaving the franchise following the release of the upcoming movie. While Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed that she is ready to quit the franchise after 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' several other veterans of the franchise have hinted the same.

According to Christian Today, Hugh Jackman took to his Twitter handle and Instagram to tease fans regarding his imminent exit. He posted a photo of Wolverine's claws along with the caption, "WOLVERINE ... ONE LAST TIME."

Unlike Jennifer Lawrence, Jackman's exit is still not confirmed and so is his next appearance as Wolverine. According to earlier reports, it is rumored that the actor will appear in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' along with Halle Berry as Storm. In fact, Jackman and Berry have been with the 'X-Men' movie franchise since the first film of the series titled 'X-Men,' which released in 2000. While the studio has yet to officially announce their roles in the upcoming film, Movie Pilot says "it would be logical for Jackman to put on his claws."

In fact, Jackman is also expected to appear in the third 'Wolverine,' which will start production next year. According to Screen Rant, it is perhaps too early for him to put the claws on for that movie, so may be Jackman was just referring to his last cameo appearance. While Jackman may also be trying to quiet the cameo rumors, according to another theory, a new actor will be cast as Logan in 'Wolverine 3.'

However, the Australian actor didn't give details regarding his plans. Since his above mentioned post on Twitter and Instagram, Jackman has only written about watching the Cricket World Cup and filming his forthcoming movie 'Eddie the Eagle' - totally ignoring the shocked responses from his fans to his photo.

It is interesting to note that Jackman's suggested exit comes even less than a week after Jennifer Lawrence confirmed that 'X-Men: Apocalypse' would be her final outing as Mystique. She told MTV News, 'It is my last one, actually."
