'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast News: Lucas Till Confirmed to Reprise Role as Havok

Earlier last week, director Bryan Singer of the upcoming X-Men movie, X-Men: Apocalypse, announced through Twitter a confirmation that actor Lucas Till will be returning to play the role of Havok in the film.

Till portrayed Havok in both X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In the Days of Future Past, Havok was serving as a military test subject in the Vietnam War for Major William Stryker. In the film, he was rescued from a military base by Mystique, played by Jennifer Lawrence.

While Havok and Cyclops are brothers in the Marvel comics about X-Men, Singer has said that they are not related in the movie adaptations.

Tye Sheridan will be playing the role of Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is set in the 1980s. According to Singer, "It wouldn't physically fit for him to be the brother of Cyclops.

Till will join a cast that includes several of the actors, both new and returning to the film franchise.

These include Michael Fassbender as Magneto, James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Rose Byrne as Moira McTaggert, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Ben Hardy as Angel, and Lana Condor as Jubilee.

In the previous movies that he appeared in, Till did not have much lines or screen time, so it is possible that he will have a larger role now.

Till has starred in the supernatural thriller Wolves, and will be in the upcoming toy adaptation film, Monster Trucks. X-Men: apocalypse will be making its debut on the big screen on May 27, 2016.
