'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast News: Lana Condors Tapped to Play Jubilee in Upcoming Installment

Director Bryan Singer brings fans more valuable and exciting casting details for 'X-Men: Apocalypse'; revealing that Lana Condors will portray Jubilee in the upcoming installment.

Singer made the announcement in an Instagram post on Wednesday with the caption: "I'd officially like to welcome our newest mutant #JubilationLee, #Jubilee @LanaCondor to #XMEN #Apocalypse"

The character has yet to be officially introduced in the movie franchise, so this will be a first on many fronts for Condor.

"Jubilee had cameos in the original three X-Men movies (played by Kea Wong and Katrina Florence) and was also in the 1996 Generation X TV pilot that never went to series (played by Heather McComb)," writes IGN.

Jubilee is commonly seen portrayed as younger than the rest of her counterparts and a lot less experienced.

Condor will be newcomers such as Sophie Turner, as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.

'X-Men: Apocalypse' hits theaters on May 27th, 2016.
