'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast News: Ben Hardy Picked Up for Comic Book Character Role
The 'X-Men: Apocalypse' movie has just picked up another youthful actor for their all new cast of young mutants. It hasn't been disclosed what role the Ben Hardy will be playing, however it has been said that it will be a "significant" comic book character.
"Hardy was among those who tested to play Cyclops, though the role ultimately went to Sheridan. Hardy was then rumored to be up for the role of Angel, though insiders say he has been cast in another important role that is being kept under wraps," writes The Wrap.
The British actor is most known for his role as Peter Beale in the BBC series 'EastEnders'.
Hardy will join the new hand-picked cast featuring Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.
"Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and James McAvoy will all return to their roles as Mystique, Magneto, Beast and Professor X, respectively, while Oscar Isaac will play the film's titular villain Apocalypse. Rose Byrne will also reprise her role of Moira MacTaggert," writes The Wrap.
'X-Men: Apocalypse' will hit theaters on May 27th, 2016.
