'X Factor' Season 12 News: Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw Tapped to be Judges

It has been confirmed that pop star, Rita Ora, and BBC Radio 1 presenter, Nick Grimshaw, have signed on to be judges for the 12th season of The X Factor.

Grimshaw, who is the host of the breakfast show on Radio 1, will be replacing Louis Walsh, and taking his seat beside the creator of the show Simon Cowell, as well as Cheryl Fernandez Versini.

Rita Ora will be taking the fourth chair, leaving BBC One's The Voice after appearing on the show for only one season.

The singer appeared previously as a guest judge on The X Factor in 2012.

According to Ora, she is excited to begin her stint as a full time judge. "I am excited to be coming back," said the pop star. "I had a ball here in 2012. This is a journey I can't wait to embark on to find some talented singers. It's the new generation taking over. Booooom."

From Grimshaw, there was a bit of star studded feelings. "I love X Factor and have watched the series religiously since it started," he said. "So I'm hugely excited to be joining the show. Music is my job and my passion and I'm really looking forward to seeing what talent we can find and nurture this year. I can't wait for judges' houses in Oldham!"

Ora and Grimshaw are good friends, and producers hope that the chemistry that they already have will add a fresh dynamic to the long running television talent show.

Cowell says that he is excited about the new judging lineup as well.
