'X-Factor' New Cast News: Paloma Faith Considered as Rita Ora’s Replacement?

Apparently, Paloma Faith is next in line to become the newest coach on The Voice UK. The singer, known for her hit single, "Only Love Can Hurt Like This," is being considered for joining the panel of judges on the BBC One singing competition.

This follows the news that former Voice UK coach, Rita Ora, has accepted a job offer to be a judge on the rival show, The X Factor, which airs on ITV.

A source told The Sun why producers are considering Faith to fill the position. "Boss think she would be great," said the source.

"They have been impressed by her forthright opinions and love her out there style." Faith, who is 33 years old, was named the Best Female at the BRIT Awards in February.

She would not be the first female solo artist to appear as a coach on the show. Previous judges include Kylie Minogue and Jessie J.

The singer made an appearance on the show in 2012 as a guest mentor, but revealed last year that she did not plan to join any singing competitions, as she could not handle public criticism of her views.

She even confessed to rejecting an offer to join The X Factor as a judge last year.

"I turned it down because I don't think I'm emotionally equipped to deal with the scrutiny and that level of celebrity that's not about my music," said Faith. "Having people say things like 'How can she tell that girl she can't sing? She can't... Sing.' I couldn't deal with that."
