WWE Rumors and Spoilers 2014 News: The Rock vs. Rusev WrestleMania 31 Reports Ignited By Twitter War
After a shocking appearance on the latest episode of 'Monday Night Raw' at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, rumors surrounding former WWE Champion Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson facing the 'Bulgarian Brute' Rusev at Wrestlemania 31 have heated up to an all-time high.
Recently, the future WWE HOF went on social media after Rusev's manager Lana criticized "The People's Champ" after their memorable live exchange (which resulted in The Rock beating up Rusev in the middle of the ring in a non-contest) this past Monday night on WWE flagship series.
"I told @TheRock to SHUT UP. He didn't listen. There will be consequences for these actions. #RAW @WWE @RusevBUL pic.twitter.com/PLNRlToXke," wrote Lana on Twitter on October 7.
As a result, the 10-time WWE World Champion issued the following statement to Lana on Twitter in reference to his epic promo he unleashed on both Lana and Rusev in front of the passionate wrestling fans in Brooklyn, NY.
@LanaWWE @WWE @RusevBUL Clearly, you didn't appreciate my "Smirnoff bottle shoved up your Putin" joke. You're still smokin'. #Boots2A***s," tweeted the Rock to Lana.
'The Ravishing Russian' Lana then replied to former 2000 Royal Rumble winner with the following response.
"I'm obviously stunning/beautiful/perfect @TheRock but I know word in English and Russian that perfectly describes you... PIG! @RusevBUL," wrote Lana to The Rock via Twitter.
The 42-year-old future WWE HOF also mentioned in the past the possibility of competing in another match for the most popular company in professional wrestling history in the near future.
"Yeah, I'd love to. We just have to figure out what it could be and what the most ideal matchup would be, and who it would be with," aid The Rock to the Muscle & Fitness magazine in an interview last month.
"Because I always feel like if I go back to the WWE, then it has to be bigger and greater than what I've done in the past, and I don't know what could be bigger in terms of marquee value-in terms of value across the board-and to me it has to surpass what we've done."
