WWE News: Hall of Fame Class of 2015, Dave Batista, and WrestleMania 31 Update

A few members of the incoming WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015 have already been made known during last Monday's "Raw," but recently, reports of a relatively surprising name being added to that list has come up.

While Rikishi, Randy Savage and Arnold Schwarzenegger are already lined up for the Hall of Fame honors, PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that the WWE is also planning to induct former AWA World champion Larry Zbyszko.

While fans may find the rumored decision to be a bit puzzling, it does follow the recent pattern of inducting a celebrity, a recent star, and someone whose contributions are more to wrestling as a whole than the WWE itself, as pointed out by Bleacher Report's Ryan Dilbert.

Apart from Zbyszko's famous feud with Bruno Sammartino, most of what long-time wrestling fans would remember about him was from his antics outside of the WWE.

In 1980, Zbyszko was awarded by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter nods for Best Heel, Best Feud, and Most Improved. Apart from being the AWA champion, he also had long stints with the WCW.

In other WWE news, Dave Meltzer gave fans of WWE star Dave Batista a hint of a cause for celebration.

Meltzer recently clarified on Wrestling Observer Radio that the former champion is still under contract with the WWE. He did, however, stress that doesn't necessarily mean he would be used soon.

"I'd love to go back. I'm a professional wrestler at heart and I miss it," Batista told the Tampa Bay Times last year.

Batista has seen demand for him on the big screen steadily increasing in the past year, but being still under contract would make a return a bit more seamless.

Bigger news, also reported by Meltzer is about the possible addition of Daniel Bryan to the main event of WrestleMania 31. Rumors say that Bryan will be figuring in a triple threat match with Roman Reigns and champion Brock Lesnar.

WrestleMania 31 is scheduled for March 29 in Santa Clara, California.
