'WWE 2K16' Update News: 2K Games Unveils More Superstars in Upcoming Game [VIDEO]
As a part of the official roster reveal, 2K Games has recently confirmed 18 more superstars for its upcoming 'WWE 2K16' video game. The publisher has also confirmed the three superstars, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Cesaro and The Vaudevillains, who did not form a part of the official roster reveal technically, but succeeded in making appearances via gameplay videos.
According to IB Times, The Vaudevillains, comprising Aiden English and Simon Gotch, are the current NXT tag team champions. In fact, IGN revealed both superstars, as it displayed the tag team entrance of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. Notwithstanding the fact that only the entrance of Kidd and Cesaro was labeled in the video, Gotch and English also make their full entrance. The NXT team's entrance has been completely reproduced, complete with the bigheaded announcer and the old-school grainy appearance that the two superstars always come out to.
Meanwhile, Game Informer divulged that Jake Roberts will be an opponent for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in a hands-on session with the title. Nearly all wrestling fans are aware that Austin defeated Roberts during the 1996 "King of the Ring" tournament wherein he cut his notorious "Austin 3:16" promo that actually made him a superstar for many. 'WWE 2K16' will enable the fans to reconstruct that moment in the Showcase mode, since players will need to defeat Jake Roberts in one of the first objectives in this mode.
The other superstars confirmed are making their return to the game having already appeared in the previous year's 'WWE 2K15.' Alicia Fox, Big Show, Bam Bam Bigelow, Cameron, The Prime Time Players, Diamond Dallas Page, Dolph Ziggler, Finlay, Kevin Nash, Layla, Lex Luger, The Miz, Naomi, Randy Orton and Sheamus will be joining the other superstars in the biggest ever roster in any WWE game.
In the meantime, the looks of nearly all the superstars have been updated from their earlier appearances. Now, Sheamus sports his Mohawk hairstyle, while Darren Young has his shorter hair and goatee.
'WWE 2K16' will release on Oct. 27 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Fans pre-ordering the game will get access to two versions of the T-800 from the 'Terminator' movies, which are modeled after Arnold Schwarzenegger.
