‘WWE 2K16’ DLC News: 'Future Stars Pack' Destroying Universe Mode? Data Reset Delaying Download
Alongside the access to its DLC Pack, "WWE 2K16" has been reported to destroy its main game mode, as per recent reports.
Following the release of "WWE 2K16" Future Stars DLC, publisher 2K Sports warned gamers not to download it, since it was found to break the game's Universe Mode. On Jan. 27, Twitter user and "WWE 2K16" gamer BuzzTorchPolar wrote that the game's Future Stars DLC pack had corrupted his Universe mode, which he described as "unacceptable."
According to Games Radar, the said game pack includes Samoa Joe with tag teams Los Matadores and Blake and Murphy. As per the publication, serious issues on the game were also reported on 2K16's official forum and other related sites, hours following the release of the pack.
According to gamers' complaints, the data in the Universe Mode were reset once the pack was installed. In general, many gamers felt frustration, as the long time of integrating their tag teams, raising storylines in-game, and modifying shows in the game perished with just an installation of a DLC.
On Jan. 26, 2K community manager Bryan Vore wrote in the 2K forum that they were aware of an issue some users were experiencing with Universe Mode save data connected to the Future Stars Pack DLC. Vore added that after initial investigation, they had found that the issue only affected PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game and not PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In line with the issue, Vore advised active Universe Mode gamers to wait to download the Future Stars Pack until they fully investigate resolved issue. "Thank you for your patience," he added.
The "WWE 2K16" Future Stars Pack is part of the "WWE 2K16" Season Pass, according to Wrestle Zone. An accelerator, new moves pack, legends pack, and 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase are included in the pack, which costs $24.99.
