SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF. (August 24, 2022) - California-based worship artist Jena Brancart is set to release her EP, “Fighting for My Soul,” in its entirety on Aug. 26, 2022. Based on Brancart’s personal journey of experiencing renewed hope, the EP serves as a reminder of the security that Christians find in the Lord.

The artist wrote every song included on the EP during a focused season of processing, praying, healing, and writing. Birthed from a place of experiencing God’s restoration in her own life, the songs on the EP brought Brancart herself out of challenging situations to see the beauty on the other side of the story.

“The five songs that mark this project are an overflow of what God was speaking and working in my heart throughout the process,” Brancart writes. “In this season, I deeply encountered the Father’s heart to heal and restore. Having reached the other side of the story, I can say from a new place of confidence and conviction that God WILL redeem and restore everything that feels lost and broken. He is the God who fights for our souls—not only going to battle for us, but fighting that our hearts may be whole. In Him, our future is secure.”

“Fighting for My Soul” was produced by Gabriel Wilson (Bethel Music, Martin Smith, John Mark McMillan), engineered by Aaron Knott, mixed by Mat Mainhard, and mastered by Drew Lavyne. Jena prays that the songs on the EP give people language to match what they might be experiencing or feeling and that as they listen, they are reminded and encouraged that in Christ, there’s hope for every inch of their life. Ultimately, her prayer is that people encounter God through the EP.
