'World Of Warcraft: Legion' News: Blizzard Showcases Illidan Stormrage, In-Game Demons, Azaroth

Blizzard Entertainment has released a "World of Warcraft: Legion" developer preview.

As per the trailer, "Demon Hunter" serves as the upcoming segment for the "Legion" expansion. It sees various demons from Azaroth, who are feared and mistrusted by others.

In the preview, designers Eric Maloof and Graham Berger explained what fans could expect from the title. They revealed that the demons were gone years ago and with the Legion coming, it is yet to be known as to how Azaroth will defend itself from chaos.

Along with the Legion, Maloof and Berger also revealed that the title will see the return of Illidan Stormrage, the prime villain of the game's "Burning Crusade" installment way back in 2007. Hence, "Demon Hunter" provides a stretch on the plot of "Burning Crusade," as well as the future for Stormrage and the demon hunters.

Aside from "Demon Hunters," "World of Warcraft: Legion" is also set to feature the Transmogrification System. As per MMOSite, this might negatively impact inventories, as players will not be able to keep certain weapons and armor in their banks or inventories at all times.

"World of Warcraft: Legion" is the sixth expansion set of the massively multiplayer online role-playing video game "World of Warcraft." Its "Demon Hunter" update stands as the second "hero class" after "Wrath of the Lich King" released eight years ago, as per Polygon.

Blizzard Entertainment's "World of Warcraft: Legion" is set to be released for Mac OS and Microsoft Windows on Aug. 30.
