'Wonder Woman' Movie News: Filming Dates Confirmed for Upcoming Superhero Film
After the release of the highly anticipated 'Batman V Superman' and 'Suicide Squad' DC Warner Bros. plans to go into full overdrive with its many other slated films.
Two of the more sought out are 'Wonder Woman' and 'Justice League,' which are both slated for 2017, and a new report has just confirmed their filming dates.
According to Empire, 'Wonder Woman' will shoot in London this fall, and 'Justice League' will follow suit next spring. They state:
"Logistically it is staggering. As Batman V Superman gains its coat of special effects, and the various stages of editing, scoring, grading and sound mixing are completed, Deborah Snyder, along with Roven, is watching over a sandbox that stretches around the world. Jenkins is in London prepping Wonder Woman, which will shoot there this autumn. Suicide Squad, already well underway in Toronto under the earthy gaze of Ayer, will shoot through to September. "I do watch the dailies," she promises, enthusing about the film's "street quality." They are already doing soft prep for the Justice League, which will begin shooting in the spring, and overseeing the script for Aquaman, which James Wan will direct."
'Wonder Woman' will star actress Gal Gadot as the lead along with the most recently announced Chris Pine as the male lead. We'll see this in theaters on June 23, 2017.
'Justice League' will introduce us to all of the centerpiece DC heroes, and will premiere on November 12, 2017, with its Part II following on June 14, 2019.
