‘Wonder Woman’ Movie Update: Working Title of Fantasy/Adventure Film is ‘Nightingale’

DC Cinematic Universe and Warner Bros. are all set to launch production of the solo 'Wonder Woman' movie soon. The film will be slotted between Warner Bros.' 'Batman v Superman' and 'Suicide Squad,' which are slated for release in 2016, and 'The Justice League' Part 1, which will be released in 2018.

According to IB Times, recent reports suggest that the filming of Gal Gadot-starrer will begin in London this fall. The reports also revealed some interesting details about the studio's fourth DC Cinematic Universe film, which releases in 2017.

Askanews reports that eventually 'Wonder Woman' will shoot scenes in Basilicata, Italy, as well as the UK. According to ComicBook Movie, the story of the fantasy/adventure film reportedly takes place during World War I and is likely to take advantage of the unique ancient stone structures of Basilicata.

Meanwhile, Meet The Movie Press states that Hoyte Van Hoytema will be the director of photography on 'Wonder Woman.' This Dutch-Swedish cinematographer is well known for his work on Academy Award-winning films 'Interstellar,' 'Her,' and 'The Fight.' Recently, Hoytema also finished working on the upcoming James Bond films, 'Spectre.' According to Production Weekly, the working title for 'Wonder Woman' is 'Nightingale.'

In addition to Gal Gadot, 'Wonder Woman' stars Chris Pine in the character of Steve Trevor. The movie is scheduled to release on June 23, 2017.
