'Wonder Woman' Movie News: Actress Gal Gadot Says Her Character Is Different From ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’

In line with Patty Jenkins' upcoming DC Comics film "Wonder Woman," Gal Gadot as Princess Diana of Themyscira herself talked about her character and what fans could expect in the film.

It is known that Wonder Woman is set to debut in Zack Snyder's forthcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and Gadot revealed how different Wonder Woman would be in Jenkin's solo "Wonder Woman" film. In her interview with Gizmodo, Gadot said that the Wonder Woman fans were going to see in "Batman v Superman" was a very different character in the standalone film.

According to Gadot, Snyder's" Wonder Woman was a woman who had been around and she was very experienced, adding that she understood a lot about man. On the other hand, Jenkin's Wonder Woman was telling a grown-up story, about Diana becoming the iconic DC heroine in a story that had never been told before.

Gadot continued that Wonder Woman embarks her journey as a pure, more naive, and young idealist who did not really understand how complicated life and men were.

Just like other members of the Justice League, Wonder Woman is also one of the most recognized by people; thus, Gadot's portrayal of the character in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and in "Wonder Woman" would matter.

In her interview with Variety, Gadot said that she played her as she though a woman like her would have acted in situations she were going through, adding that one should treat her as a normal woman who happened to be fantastic and almighty.

"At the end of the day, we're all people," Gadot said.

Jenkins' "Wonder Woman" is set to premiere in theaters on June 23, 2017 while Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on Mar. 25.
