'Wonder Woman' Movie News: Actress Gal Gadot Brushes Off Negative Comments?

Gal Gadot sweeps aside negative comments of comic book fans about her figure not being fit for the role of Wonder Woman.

In her recent guesting on the "Conan O'Brien" show, the host asked the actress about her reaction on the body shaming comments made by fans of Wonder Woman who still cannot get past the idea that she is now set to portray their favorite DC heroine.

Before answering the question, Gadot asked O'Brien what he has read.

O'Brien then cited remarks by fans of Wonder Woman who claim that the heroine should have "the body," which means she should be just as well-endowed as she is depicted in comic books.

The actress said she is aware of the remarks about her small breasts.

"Yes, there were some people who had a lot to say about my hearts (breasts). At the end of the day you can't please them all, and I completely understand that. And if you want to be original to the story, the Amazons used to have only one breast, because it was in the way with the bow and arrow," she said.

Negative remarks about Gadot's portrayal of Wonder Woman began when Warner Bros. and DC announced years ago that the actress would take the role of the heroine in the film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Fans think she is too thin to give justice to the role.

Gadot admitted she had to undergo training to bulk up and give life to the female superhero, who is portrayed in its comic book origins as strapping and able-bodied.

In the film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the actress was dubbed as a scene stealer because of her stellar performance as Wonder Woman.

Meanwhile, photos of Gadot as the Amazon warrior princess in her upcoming film "Wonder Woman" were recently leaked online. The photos indicate that the princess has finally met Steve Trevor, whom she will try to revive in the shores of Themyscira.
