Chris Pine recently guested Jimmy Kimmel on his live TV show to talk about his upcoming film "The Finest Hours," but it looks like the television host is also interested in Pine's other project: "Wonder Woman."

Kimmel quickly asked Pine if he was in fact Wonder Woman. Pine responded by sharing that his character, Steve Trevor, is actually the boyfriend of Diana Prince, the alter ego of Wonder Woman.

"There's a Mr. Wonder Woman? I didn't know that," Kimmel asked. To which Pine responded, "Yeah, I'm a stay-at-home dad."

Kimmel also asked the 35-year-old actor what he feels about dating Wonder Woman. Pine says it's great. Kimmel then became curious about the abilities of Trevor, but Pine told the host that his character is a normal human being.

The TV host ended up asking Pine, "who talked you into this?" -- referring to Pine's role as a powerful woman's normal husband.

Pine answered by talking about Wonder Woman and actress Gal Gadot who plays the heroine. Pine says Gadot is so great and she is doing everything right.

"Wonder Woman" is slated for release in 2017. Pine claims that the film will have more compassion and love -- setting it apart from many male dominated superhero movies, Perez Hilton reports.

Meanwhile, Kimmel is receiving flak from social media and websites such as Refinery for his sexist jokes. Fans are saying that this is a perfect time to hail Wonder Woman and celebrate girl power.
