'Wolverine 3' Release Date, Cast, Plot: Liev Schreiber Reprises As Sabertooth, Set To Be Released In March 2017

One of the X-Men have been given the opportunity for a spin-off and that is the claw-slashing character, Wolverine. Now on its third franchise, news about the highly anticipated movie has been present in the word wide web. It has been currently reported that Liev Schreiber might reprise his role as Sabertooth in "Wolverine 3."

The actor himself has reportedly been in talks with the production team regarding his comeback for the film, notes Slash Film. More than that, MTV News revealed Schreiber's statement regarding the film, which will be out sometime in 2017.

"We've talked about it. I don't know. I mean, he's mentioned it to me. Old Man Logan story, that's appealing. That's something I can do. 'Old' being the operative word. Old Man Sabretooth," he said. The website stated that his desire for reprising the role was first expressed during his talk with Jimmy Fallon last year.

"I heard that the storyline is Old Man Logan, and when I heard that I thought, well, you know, there's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth," as we quote. But despite his interview with MTV, his return to the film is still somewhat unconfirmed.

Meanwhile, the plot for "Wolverine 3" is still unknown as well. But Screen Rant notes that the production team includes director James Mangold and writer David James Kelly while main cast features Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart.

This will be the third solo movie for Logan/Wolverine in the X-Men film series but the plot might be derived from the "Old Man Logan" comics.

The release date for the movie "Wolverine 3" is set for March 3, 2017.
