'Wolverine 3' Latest Cast News: Patrick Stewart Says He Will Return to Portray Professor X
Patrick Stewart recently told Collider that he would return to portray the character of Professor X (Charles Xavier) in the upcoming 'Wolverine 3' movie.
IB Times states that Stewart told Collider, "I think what you say is true. There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me."
However, the actor did not reveal any further details regarding his character. Nevertheless, his statement suggested that he would be playing a large role in the film.
In the Marvel Comics, Professor X is depicted as the founder of X-Men and is an extraordinarily powerful telepath. He has the powers to read and control minds and also runs a school to train mutants. Professor X wants human and mutants to co-exist peacefully.
Incidentally, Stewart portrayed the character of Professor X for the first time in 2000 'X-Men' film. The last time he played the character was in 2014's 'X-Men: Days of Future past,' wherein he shared the role with James McAvoy.

The actor said, "And the idea of an old Wolverine - I'm really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him. He looks so great! So I'm hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he'll make me look better if that's the case."
'Wolverine 3' will be directed by James Managold and fans will see Hugh Jackman reprising the role of Logan (Wolverine) in the movie. As of now, the producers are keeping the official storyline as well as the title of the film under wraps.
The film will hit theaters on March 2, 2017.
